Over 500 Baptized at Masaka Gospel Crusade Organized by SDA Church

Masaka, Uganda – In a remarkable spiritual revival, more than 500 individuals were baptized during a two-week gospel crusade organized by the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Church in Masaka. The event, held at Masaka Liberation Square, was part of a powerful evangelistic campaign dubbed the Gospel Media Thrust, spearheaded by the Adventist Men’s Ministry in the region.

The crusade drew thousands of participants daily, filling the square with worship, song, and messages of hope. The highlight of the campaign was the mass baptism that marked the culmination of the spiritual series, as hundreds publicly committed their lives to Christ through the Adventist faith.

The main preacher was Pastor Kajoba Samuel, the President of the SDA Church in Central Uganda Conference. His dynamic preaching, centered on biblical truth and personal transformation, inspired many to make the life-changing decision to follow Christ.

“We are witnessing the power of God working in people’s lives,” Pastor Kajoba said during one of the evening services. “This is not just about numbers; it’s about souls finding purpose, peace, and eternal hope in Jesus.”

The crusade featured a variety of choirs and musical groups from different congregations, whose performances uplifted the congregation and played a major role in the spiritual atmosphere. Their songs of praise resonated through the city, attracting even passersby to stop and listen.

Organizers attributed the success of the event to months of planning, prayer, and community outreach, noting that the Gospel Media Thrust is part of a larger effort by the SDA Church to use media and public evangelism to reach urban populations with the gospel message.

As the sun set on the final day, and the last group of candidates stepped into the baptismal pool, the atmosphere was filled with jubilation, gratitude, and praise.

The Masaka crusade stands as a testament to the continued growth of the Adventist movement in Uganda and the power of united evangelistic efforts in transforming lives.
